We get this completed first. Our transfer equipment is of professional quality and includes clarity and color enhancement as needed. Family home movies (8mm, Super 8, etc.), slides, various camcorder tapes, VHS tapes, etc. are all very important media that deteriorate over time. DVDs, CDs, or transfers to hard drives are the ideal way to preserve them.
We Provide CD, DVD, and BluRay Disc Duplication Services for Video and Audio in Vancouver, WA. We also Print Labels. We can duplicate one or thousands. I found Tom and VisualTronics as a local option for digitizing my family's VHS home movies from the 1990s.
Before finding VisualTronics, I used one of the large online digitization companies for an earlier batch of tapes. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. Many videos included VCR system messages, started with a blue screen, suffered from tracking issues, and some 2 hour video files contained only 20 minutes of actual footage.
I also considered doing the transfers myself, but I lack the equipment, skills/experience, or the time to do it properly.
The results from VisualTronics exceeded my expectations. The digitized videos were high quality, with minimal noise and excellent image stability. I especially appreciated that the files were edited to end when the recorded content ended, rather than including long stretches of blank tape!
Some of my tapes were unlabeled, and when Tom found tapes that contained no footage, he didn't charge me for them, which I greatly appreciate.
I also had the opportunity to see VisualTronics' processing setup, and it was clear that this is a professional operation with high-quality equipment. Tom is knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in his work.

I had Tom transfer all of my old camcorder tapes to digital for me and my family. It was truly a wonderful moment to be able to share those and give them each their own thumb drive. I used Tom a second time to transfer an old VHS cassette to digital, and that was very emotional to share with the family on that particular tape due to previous deaths. I am contacting Tom again to transfer some 8mm reels! Very fast, friendly service.

Most excellent! I had an old Ampex cassette tape that would not play on our Slimline. Tom offered to try to restore it, no guarantee. He called after successfully recovering 99.9% of the audio. It is amazing to hear my grampy's voice in over 3 decades! Don't walk, run to Tom and be sure to have lunch at the Vancouver boardwalk.

I have a cassette tape from about 38 years ago that had some music that I performed. I wanted to share them with my children and grandchildren, so I searched for a company that could do this for me. I found VISUALtronics and the owner was very kind in answering several questions over email. I had the work done, it was done in a timely manner and the results were perfect. I work in the photography business and I will be returning with any audio or visual needs that I have in the future.

Tom was very professional and knows what he is doing. One step into his studio is proof enough. I had a 8 mm Cassette digitized by Tom and he had it done quickly and perfectly. After review of the digital file, I have been unable to find any differences or deviations from the tape. I will be bringing any future projects I have to Tom. A great option for those looking to support their local economy and avoid shipping precious family footage through the meat grinder that is the postal service! Fifty seven years ago a guest made an 8 mm video of our wedding and gave it to us. Not having a projector we borrowed one and watched it just a couple of times. Many years and technological breakthroughs later our son took the tape to Visualtronics and had it digitized. What a joy it was to see it again yesterday. My mom gifted me about 10 video tapes from the late 90's/early 2000's and after googling where I could get them converted into a dvd I came across VISUALtronics. Tom did such an amazing job, he said it'd take about a week for my project to be done but it actually took him 1 day. timing was perfect because I played the first disc & it happened to be my younger brothers 1st birthday party. it was my brothers 20th birthday the day I picked up my project. Thanks to Tom I now have videos of our childhood birthday parties, family weddings & we all got to hear my grandmas voice again.

Tom at VisualTronics handled the digitization for our large oral history preservation project. This involved digitizing hundreds of audio and video recordings in a wide variety of analog media, as well as transcoding some aging digital formats, to our archival standards. Tom did a great job with the digitization itself, improving many of the recordings that had deteriorated, and was able to repair some of the cassettes that were not working.
In addition, he followed our file naming specifications, returned everything in an organized way, and was great at communicating issues and answering questions. I highly recommend VisualTronics.
