Tapes, such as VHS, camcorder and Betamax tapes, are merely magnetic particles adhered to plastic tape. Over the course of time, the deterioration of these tapes is inevitable. Storing them in a cool, low humidity environment, playing them infrequently as well as having used a high quality tape helps slow down the degradation process, but all tapes degrade over time.

A customer who requires that we do NOT consolidate smaller reels onto larger reels will result in being charged an additional $10 per reel. Please feel free to come-in and drop off your order anytime during our regular hours (M-F 10-6 & Sat 10-4). Safe Scan (TM) (Zero image contact, gateless and smooth metal guide rollers that only handle the film by the edges, continuous feed, no sprockets or claws).

Video tape is nothing more than tiny magnetic particles adhered to plastic tape; this is the media format that you need to be most concerned about converting into a digital format. The degradation process is slow but steady.

Please feel free to come-in and drop off your order anytime during our regular hours (M-F 10-6 & Sat 10-4). If you are ordering DVDs, please order a back-up copy for each original DVD you purchase. Our DVDs are very high quality with a 100+ year life expectancy, but that assumes the bottom of the DVD stays clean and unscratched.

Slides or Negatives (Scanned with Professional Film Scanners) We now offer scanning of all size negatives! Our software scans the image prior to writing the file and eliminates minor scratches, dust and fingerprints through the use of Digital ICE technology.
