Documentary Film Making

This is a 5 day crash course on Documentary Film Making. Your first day will include the basics of film making where you'll get to operate professional HD video cameras. You'll be asked to film and be interviewed on camera. You'll learn how to acquire beautiful footage and sound.

The second day, you will start filming your documentary. You will conduct interviews, operate the cameras and then return to learn the basics of editing on Final Cut Pro software.

The third day, you will begin to edit your project. this is where the creativity begins. You will find your story to create a captivating short documentary.

On the fourth day, you will decide if additional footage is necessary, film and edit.

The final day of the workshop, students will be expected to finish their productions, burn to DVD and showcase their work to friends and family at the "graduation party" where food and drink will be provided.
