Mimosa Digital: Photo & Video What is a Mimosa? A Mimosa is the plant (see photo on the left) that is most sensitive to touch. The name Mimosa Digital came about because of our vision to help people get in touch with loved ones - to be more "in touch with life" (the retail slogan). The founders of Mimosa Digital, Jason and Regina, have always been interested in digital gadgets and own most of the latest digital toys available on the market.

Photography and videography have been their common interest too. They are very well-versed in manipulating digital files and converting them into usable formats.

Awful customer service! I went in to get my picture taking for an international passport. The lady was rude while speaking to me. Once she told the price I said, I guess I'll pay at the end" to which she answered, "no, you pay now". Unpleasant interaction overall. I wouldn't recommend it.

I ordered an 11x17 transparency sheet with my illustration on it (for screen printing) from Mimosa Digital and I am so happy with how it turned out! I live in Virginia and I can't 1) afford a new large printer or 2) find a place near me to have large transparencies printed. I looked online at several places to order large transparencies but they were all more than $30 to have just one sheet shipped! Looking around at different sites, I came across Mimosa Digital and they had an extremely low quote, around $4 for the sheet and some amount in shipping.

My drawing arrived today in perfect condition and I am so grateful for the affordability and quality. I will definitely be ordering when I need large prints again! Thank you so much!

I've used Mimosa for years and the quality and service has always been very good. Today I felt compelled to leave a review after an exceptional experience. I had a rush order that I needed done STAT. I spoke to a young woman who not only escalated the project but walked me through how to upload my files, helped me resize and reformat my original to fit the print specs, and printed my order- in record time and with excellent quality. Support this local gem!

Mimosa Digital was amazing service last minute. They could have turned me away because I was disorganized and not sure of what I needed - but they stuck with me and hooked me up. My prints were affordable and gorgeous! Go to Mimosa first for your printing needs.

Mimosa digital were great in a pinch. I needed promotional postcards within 24 hours and they handled the job without a hitch. Final product was great, ahead of schedule and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. I'll definitely be using them in the future.

I have made three orders for panoramic prints of the same subject: a farm in Michigan. I have experience as a photographer and imho had made a good jpeg digital file for Mimosa to work with. The recipients of these prints were very pleased by their quality, sharpness and color. I also was pleased. I think Mimosa Digital did a good printing job.

If you are thinking to walk in this store to get your picture taken for any reason or have plans to get your invitation cards done, etc., please spare yourself and save your money and walk away (for real!). I tried this place twice (three months apart) in hope to have a positive experience to leave a positive review. Specially on my second visit to the store, the guy who attended me was fabulously rude, he yelled at me when I asked a question, rushed me around and did not let me finish my sentences.

I left the shop without even knowing what was their total suite of services. There are several other shops on the same street that can help you with your wedding invitations, printing requirements, etc. and the staff there are thoughtful and at least take you as a customer.

Completely incompetent. I brought in a VHS tape to be transferred to mp4. I waited weeks for the work to be done. When I tried opening the file, I discovered it was the wrong file format. I called them up, and they said they don't do mp4s. What a waste of time.

I used Mimosa over 10 years ago for some panorama pics. They were perfect when I got them. I tried other places to compare and there was no comparison. The print quality is excellent and the paper they use is top notch. I put images on large tiles and epoxy them. They look incredible.

All I can say is "wow", and not in a good way. I ended up at Mimosa Digital because they are the only print shop online that does transparency printing. I had emailed their customer service asking how to format the file for transparency with white ink printing, I was met with "It's $25 for an artist to look at it, and because we don't have a minimum order, you can order it and find out." I figured even if they screw up the white transparency that I could at least sell defective products for half price.

Boy was I wrong. I received my print, and there's just so much wrong with it. For starters, they placed the white ink incorrectly. The color job from the printer was choppy, and despite the same image being printed repeatedly on the same page, the colors got distorted. They also resized my file as well so I ended up getting it about 2cm smaller and I literally cannot scrap it for my customers.

And on top of that, the text that was printed on it got more than patchy, it's almost like graphite shavings got stuck somewhere in there and became? Holographic/shiny. Absolutely not helpful, I should not have to pay $25 for an artist to say yes or no, then not teach me what I did wrong so I don't have to pay again in the future. But also the quality is just god awful, I wouldn't sell these to my customers even if it was printed in the size I requested.

The shipping they provided did keep my print safe all the way through the shipping process, and it only took 3 days, and considering I spent $10 for shipping, that's not too bad. So if you want low quality printing with horrible customer service, just keep in mind your trash will get your door safely.

I was in need of printing some photos and went in on Small Business Saturday to support a local business. The employees couldn't be less helpful and it was obvious they didn't care that we were in the store. After asking how we can print some photos they just took us to a computer and turned t on and said "put in your usb". After maybe 10 minutes the computer was still powering up and no one took the time to come assist us.

We then asked what is the largest size photo we can print from the computer. Rather "snootily" the employee just pointed to a sizing chart and said they would have to print it for us and it could not be done from the computer. If they took the time to ask what we needed and what we wanted to print we would have been in and out. Instead we sat there for 10 minutes staring at the computer screen.

Instead of supporting a local business we ended up printing our photos at CVS. Although the work that was displayed in the store was lovely looking, I will never return to give them my business. A shame.

Julia from Mimosa created the most incredible design for my personalized stationary incorporating a banner and an anchor and my initials - above an beyond the boring old type of stationary. Julia also fit and framed a large panoramic shot of NYC across the Hudson for a price about half of what I was quoted across the street and included extra prints. They do everything in house so it saves time and money and I couldn't be a happier customer. Thank you Mimosa Digital and The Amazing Julia!

If youre in a jam to scan something, make sure to NOT end up here. Warning: 1 dollar per page for a scan. So, if you need to scan 45 pages like I did, it will cost you nearly 50 dollars. HINT: UPS did it for 12 dollars. Theyre always wonderful. Apparently, the prices here are set in stone, when the gentlemen I spoke to I asked if he could do a discount (it literally costs them next to nothing to scan), he refused. There it is for supporting local business, not at Mimosa Digital.

I don't really do reviews. but had to here. These guys were able to do a transparency print job that I could literally not find locally or anywhere else on the interweb. They communicated with me by email and phone to make sure they got it right, very helpful. Can't say enough about how helpful they have been so far.

Called early morning and was expecting a no can do attitude for a special order. i was surprised to get the opposite. not only was they able to get it done but i was there in the afternoon to pick it up. thanks guys. just sent another special order.

I never write reviews for poor customer service, but I am making an exception here. After three attempts to use the download service via iPhone app, the app repeatedly shut down at the point of photo upload. As an alternative, I called the store to ask if there was an alternative email address I could send the photos to in time for holiday printing.

I was advised by the store manager that the answer was 'yes, but it will cost more'. When I asked why it would cost more since the challenge was that the app wasn't functioning and accepting my photos, he replied and I quote 'that is just the way it is'. When I asked, as the manager, if there was something he could do to align the pricing, I was told 'no, I can't'.

Although my three photo prints for the holidays weren't worth accommodating via alternative means when the companies app wasn't working, I will also be taking all future photo printing, card printing and invitation printing elsewhere. This was an incredibly poor display of customer service in a situation where the technology provided by the business is what created the issue in the first place. I am frankly stunned at the thoughtless response and lack of appreciation for the business of a local customer.

Had a great experience working w/ Melissa at Mimosa Digital. I met with her to go over programs and various signage for our wedding. She completely understood the look I was going for and came back immediately with some great looking ideas! Communication was very easy and efficient. The printing took around 2 days. All in all, I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend this small business to any couple looking to get some items custom made/printed for a wedding.

Ordered wedding invitations and lets just say there is nothing "perfect" about the invitations here. We experienced multiple issues with this company. SOME of the issues included - invitations took 4 weeks longer than expected. - lack of communication and follow up, had to call the manager to even get ahold of our designer after weeks of trying. - initial drafts had wrong wedding time, misspelled words and major formatting errors. - we still had to reformat EVERYTHING. - directions card was missing from invitations that were sent out. - despite paying for assembly, we still ended up having to assemble invitations to get them out on time. Save yourself the hassle and find a stationary company that won't give you stress and headaches.

My experience with them is okay. I was working with Julia and she was very responsive to emails but I was getting attitude when I suggested different designs or techniques. I finally had my order ready for pick up and when I picked it up, they forgot to include the rsvp envelopes that I had to request. When I got home with my order I noticed they forgot to give me the extra envelopes I ordered and paid for.

I had to let them know and return to the store to pick up the extra envelopes. Then I get home and noticed the envelopes didn't have the envelope liners. I emailed Julia and got no response, I called and left a message then decided to go to the shop. I get there and as soon as I walk in Julia says oh I emailed you back, our printer is down until Monday so you have to come back then to pick them up. No apologies, nothing. Julia - you're the fucking worst. If I could go back in time, I would not go to perfectly invited.

I just used Mimosa for the first time today and was so pleased with service and pricing. Before moving ahead I got estimates from two others - one whom I've used before and am incredibly happy with, but requires a bit of travel to pick up my orders, or paying for delivery. The other, FEDEX/KINKOS Hoboken provided me with two different quotes - over the phone it was 6X the amount Mimosa has estimated and via email it was 3X. Incredibly polite and helpful - I can't wait to see the finished product tomorrow!

Probably the worst experience I have had with any small business owner. I went back to understand why the image I uploaded to their website to print was so off from the result. Apart from the others who work there, the owner has no respect for his customers. I will never given them my business. The owner basically angrily schooled me on why my laptop screen is not calibrated with a spectrometer. Are you kidding me? Advice : Make your business about your customers and not about yourself. No one should have to deal with this mafia like owner.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I felt the need to write one about Mimosa Digital. Their willingness to go the extra mile is greatly appreciated. Even when it could be argued that the reason for the "extra mile" was the customer's fault. Thank's Mimosa. I'll gladly drive the extra 20 min to use you again. I highly recommend their excellent service.

Let me first start off by saying the people at Mimosa Digital are either clueless, rude, and/or completely unprofessional in dealing with customers. The owner, in particular, has very weak social skills. I had an image file I wanted put onto art paper. I was sent the image file back upon editing it, and was pleased. I approved it for printing. Once I went into the store and saw the print, it was very flawed with marks and was not the image I saw online.

I tried resolving the issue directly with the owner and he was very stubborn about helping alleviate the situation. He insisted the image was what I asked for. He finally offered to "resolve" the issue by editing and printing it FOR EXTRA MONEY! Needless to say he would not offer me a refund. I offer advice to anyone looking for custom print work in Hoboken: DO NOT GO TO MIMOSA DIGITAL!

Mimosa Digital is awesome. I've used their services twice now, and my photos have come out great both times. I'm an actor, and the first round of headshots I had printed were done beautifully (even though due to my photographer's error, they were a lower resolution than required for Reproductions printing). After speaking with a friendly representative, I ordered a test print, and received it in less time than I was quoted.

This led to an order of 100 prints, and they arrived earlier than expected as well. Round 2: I ordered both postcards and business cards, but they looked a bit blurry on the preview on the website. I put in a note asking for a call to confirm or deny blurriness, and got a call the next morning from Mimosa to let me know they would print just fine. and that they would print AND ship the same day. Great! Finally, they cost about HALF the price of Reproductions in the city. I'll be using them from now on, and recommending them to all my friends in the industry for promotional printing needs.
