Mike's Camera

I came in for the first time today to make copies of a home movie, Christmas 2004 at my aunts house. She passed away yesterday and her funeral is tomorrow. I wanted copies to give to my cousins at the funeral. They let me know they'd be ready on Sunday which is really quick in my opinion, I was half expecting to have to wait three weeks. I asked if I could pay more to expedite the process and was told there was no need they'd just mark it as urgent and have it done by tomorrow. Thank you so much for making this whole process so much easier on me. I will definitely be returning here from now on.

I think I was hot, disappointed and irrational yesterday. Mikes follow up, support and help today has been exceptional. I know they are truly sorry and I would like to say mistakes happen and it is the way they are handled that counts. A great service.

Sure, you could look stuff up and buy stuff online. But there's honestly nothing as refreshing or helpful as working with these folks and getting your hands on the products. They were unbelievably knowledgeable, helpful, and candid during my camera buy process. I worked with Johnathan and he was amazing. Will absolutely buy here in the future.

I attended their Grand Opening weekend, having moved from Belcaro strip center to the new place just south of there on Colorado Blvd. The new location is slightly smaller but I like the layout better, seems less cluttered. Friendly staff.

Rob did a killer job helping me with my camera. Over the phone he was able to walk me through the process from memory because they just sold the last one. Customer service like this is rare and he was patient and helpful until my problem was solved. Great job Rob!

I definitely want to give a shout-out to James Watts at Dublin Mike's Camera. He is dedicated to services and persistent in follow-ups evidenced during a lenses repairs process done outside his shop. He took on full responsibilities facilitating communications between me and servicing shop. When lenses returned, he double-checked making sure it works properly. Well done, James.

I went here for my passport photo and so happy I did. In the past, I would go to Costco or UPS and I had to deal with an ugly photo on my passport for 10 years. They use an excellent SLR camera, have special lighting and a screen backdrop. They know how to get your best angle for an attractive image. This is the place to go!

I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked in with two film cameras from a thrift store. I am new to this and felt intimidated by the world of shooting film. The gentleman that helped me (I believe his name was Dwayne?) was very knowledgeable and patient. He talked me through how to handle and shoot, and his passion for photography and teaching was both evident and infectious.

He was encouraging and even mentioned that he would like to see the negatives when I drop off my rolls. Clearly he is doing what he loves and made me feel welcomed to a new community and hobby. Thanks!

I've taken phone photos so long I forgot how to use my Canon Rebel and this place popped up on a map search. Wasn't sure what to expect but the store itself was awesome, well stocked and organized and the staff was very friendly. Lots of customers when I was there but the staff did a great job of welcoming us and getting to us as quickly as they could.

I think the entire staff is knowledgeable but we were lucky to be waited on by Jacob who patiently explained all the details I had forgotten and helped us pick out the equipment we would need for our upcoming road trip. I spent a little more than I had planned but got much more than I expected. Will definitely be going back and recommend Jacob highly as a knowledgeable expert. And we figured out while we were there they sell and develop 35mm film too!

I've been here about 5 times now and had hit or miss experiences. The last guy was GREAT, asked me lots of questions about what I would be using my products for, to make sure I was getting the proper thing for my activities. The guy before him helped me on two different trips and he was just okay. Didn't ask me any questions and I felt blew me off as an amateur to sell me cheap products. Make an appointment with Rob(or Ron, I wish I had his card in front of me) if you can!

I always come here to develop my film and get them scanned digitally and they are SO. FAST. Last weekend I got my photos within an hour of dropping off my film. They also let you pick up your negatives and hold it for you for quite a long time. Huge shoutout to all the employees here who are always so friendly.

I went to Mike's Camera today to have someone take a look at as why there's an error message when I tried to take a photo. Jacob and Heather greeted me warmly as i walked in and immediately drove into figuring out what was the issue with my camera. They cleaned my lens, updated my camera firmware, 20 mins later, it was fixed! They were so experienced and I could tell they knew what they were doing!

When I offered to pay, they didn't even charge me! They helped me, a complete stranger out of the kindness of their hearts! I feel I don't encounter this kind of gesture a lot anymore nowadays. I was so impressed, I think I will check with Mike's first next time I need new parts and gears! Thank you guys!

Incredibly slow and disorganized camera store. As a professional who relies on my photography for a living, having it take 4 weeks to get a single roll of film developed is incredibly frustrating. Their computer system isn't up to date, every time I try to shop here they say my account information isn't up to date and then tell me its fixed only to be still not correct next time I go in.

I don't trust them not to loose important film images. Although its great to shop local, Mike's Camera is honestly just out of touch with the photo world. I will be taking my business to out of state labs and camera stores, as Mike's is just too unreliable and disorganized.

Jessie was very professional, knowledgeable and super helpful. He went out of his way to help me and make sure I'll get my prints on time. I highly recommend Mike's camera. The customer service is always the best!

Went in wanting to trade in my entry level Canon for something with better overall quality. Was surprised when the expert didn't go directly to selling me something and instead gave me different options in glass that could help me reach my goal. Ultimately decided on going with a Sony A7ii because of how knowledgeable and helpful he was. Great place, I won't go anywhere else!

Love this place. I've noticed that the scanning film turnover time has been longer than in the past but probably has to do with Covid so that's fine. I've only had good customer service with the older employees. There is one specific older man that is super helpful and sweet. The younger employees are honestly so rude I'm baffled every time I interact with them. Get secret shoppers so you can see for yourself.

We purchased a DSLR, and Terry was very helpful. Nice to be able to handle the cameras and get questions answered. We've also printed quite a few digital photos here. Online ordering is easy and allows you to crop and rotate when you select a size. Prints were ready quickly. We did have an issue with getting one photo that was someone else's instead of ours, but we were able to eventually get it straightened out. All of the camera bags they stock are backpack style, which isn't my preference. Overall though, it's worth checking out for cameras or prints.

My son dropped our camera and I thought for sure we'd have to buy a new one or pay $$$ to repair it. My husband brought it to Mike's and they were able to repair it within minutes. It was a very minor repair and even though we were willing to pay, they didn't even charge us! They saved us a ton of money! And hubby said they were so friendly. This will be our go-to for camera stuff and will def recommend to family and friends!

My dad has been using Mike's Camera for years printing professional pictures for clients. David was extremely helpful and tentative on our recent large order. Sometimes you just gotta try camera equipment in person. For a small camera shop, they have a lot to offer; was surprised they sell obscure tripod plates and clamps that I needed. Their Promaster brand of equipment from my experience have been reliable on the field for a reasonable price and I still use everything I purchased over the years: (4/5) 2017: Promaster VL380 LED - small & lightweight, good for food/product photography (5/5) 2017: Savage Photo backdrop - large enough for portraits (5/5) 2018: Lowepro Hatchback Photo Backpack (my everyday bag. Has a removable case for interchangeable lens cameras (4/5) 2020: Promaster LED1000B Light kit - good for simple interviews (see photos (5/5) Staff: Reza, Gil, Robert are super knowledgable and will help you with your photo needs. I also come here for 35mm film development & digitizing.

Updating my review because unfortunately, the film turn around has just been too long at this store. I do understand the end of summer rush for a delay in film, but I was given the same estimate of 2 weeks for my film at the beginning of summer as well (early May before schools/colleges were even out, less people shooting film). Dropped off some film a couple days ago and was told it won't get back to me until end of August.

A bit confused because a lot of other stores have much faster turnarounds. Also, prices went up (despite being part of their membership). I feel like that reflects poorly, as I signed up for the club membership assuming I would be guaranteed a certain price all year through the duration of the membership.

Wanted to update my prior review following some recent events. I received my film after about 11 days and received a response to my original review following that. Then, a few days ago, the store manager gave me a call to personally apologize again for the inconvenience. We had a very pleasant conversation where I was able to provide input on areas in which I believe Mike's can do better.

I was reassured that since my last visit, they were able to hire another technician and are therefore no longer short staffed. Additionally, they plan to replace their current film development machine to a more updated version that is more adept at creating digital versions rather than prints. I very much appreciated this personal touch of excellent customer service and thus found it necessary to edit my initial review. Looking forward to my next visit.

Came here for passport pictures. No appointment needed. Walked in and the pictures were ready minutes. FYI - when applying for US Passport you only need one picture on the application form but they give you a set of 2. The reason I'm pointing this out because many places I called, by default were selling pictures by fours and the price was higher. This place, they give you two. You can keep the extra one for souvenir :-

I just got my Canadian passport photos done, and they turned out so well! David was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what to do. The pictures themselves were perfect, as they have a professional setup, and I'm so glad I found this store. If you need passport pictures, definitely come here.

Went in again today for my 2 month old's passport photographs and I am so happy! The photo is amazing, the set up for newborn pictures was really good too, a table with a white background. They provided us a digital copy too. the staff here is always so helpful I can never go to any other place now.
