Before that, our photography background was primarily commercial photography, but after getting married, we decided to take a risk and combine our passions for travel, lifestyles, and artistry into weddings exclusively. For over 22 years now, we've been collaborating on photography projects and weddings all over the world.

My wife and I could not have asked for a better wedding photographer. Stephen and Sonia are the perfect combination of professional and creative. They managed our family and guests, and the process of taking the traditional photos, with an unparalleled ability only developed over many years of experience. They worked as a team and complimented each other's photo styles.
Our pictures are amazing and we will always be grateful of the money spent. Thank you two! There is no better local option if you live in the Olympia/Tacoma/Seattle area (and I hear they travel too).

I found Stephen and Sonia almost accidentally while researching for a reasonably priced, good quality wedding photographer. I was amazed by the navigability of their website, the quality of their gallery, and a price that got not one, but two stellar professionals (not just one great person w a mediocre second-shooter), as well as a very fair number of hours, photos, and not too much a la carte/expensive add-ups.
It was pretty cool to see that they were Christians too, unafraid to say so on the web. And local was nice too. Working with them was super. The best/quickest interactions I could have asked for leading up to the wedding. Super professional, kind, personable on the day of. And we love the results so much! They've got it all! 11/10 would recommend.

I used Stephen and Sonia with About The Day Photography for my wedding and I am so pleased with my photos. I was married almost 6 years ago and I am still so pleased with how my photos turned out. Working with Stephen and Sonia was easy and they calmed my nerves the day of my wedding. Since I was a bit slow before the wedding they made sure to pull me and my husband aside towards the end of the reception to get a few additional shots of the two of us and they were stunning.
They got some really cool shots with my veil in the sunlight. Also, they made my brown eyes pop.it's not every day my eyes pop in a picture. Glad they did on my wedding day. I definitely recommend using them.they were affordable for stunning photos. Plus you get to own all your photos. Not all photographers offer that.be sure you get a photographer that will offer that.

I loved these guys!!! I am also a photographer so finding the perfect one took me forever... but I knew after our first conversation they were the ones. They flew to the Panhandle the night before leaving for vacation and did an Amazing job. I could not have been happier. I refer them to everyone I know and I still have three children to marry and About the Day will be the first thing checked off our list!!!! Love you guys so much!!!

Stephen & Sonia did our wedding on 10/1/16 in a sort of unique location (Marine Park, Cascade Locks, OR- reception on the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler), and were amazing to work with. We were actually set on somebody else (George Street, if you must know), but my fiance loved them when they talked on the phone, and I reluctantly agreed to pay a little bit more. I'm glad I did.
These two are 110% engaged in shooting your day. They went with the flow, made appropriate suggestions to keep us on schedule, and shot our wedding like it was their own. Watching them interact and get excited about different locations and scenery around Marine Park was awesome. They were patient with our improvisational style, they were never shaken by our, "I don't know, it'll just happen maybe around this time." responses.
I never wanted a "friend" to shoot my wedding, but it felt like these two were friends. They captured US and rolled with us where other would've wanted more structure. They just "get it". They practically felt like part of our Bridal Party by the end. They knew when to standby, when to move us, and when to just leave us alone--- they have the sixth sense of awesome photographers. I'll highly recommend them to anybody. Thanks for helping to make our wedding an awesome experience.

We used Stephen and Sonia for our engagement and wedding photos and I can say we definitely were not disappointed! They made sure to answer ever question I emailed in a timely manner (even replying when they should have been on vacation). I stumbled upon them through a friend of a friend on Facebook and thought their pictures were so beautiful. I was impressed that they were such a great price, so friendly, and such a great team. I have worked with Sonia a few times, so it was a natural to reach out to About the Day for my wedding day. Honestly, I already knew the quality of their work, but with that said, all of my expectations of them were exceeded for our wedding! The magic that they create comes in many ways - they spend time getting to know you and what you want early in the relationship, they are honest about which of their services would suit your needs best, they do little extras by working with your schedule the day of and making recommendations based upon their extensive experience.
On top of that, they create classic and innovative images in whatever environment they are given as well as keep everyone comfortable, informed and happy throughout the shoots. Add on top of all of this that the proofs I received of our day were incredible! Everyone that sees are photos ask about the photographers. They are worth every cent and more!!
My only advice to you all is to make your decision as fast as you can and reach out to them quickly...the result of their being so wonderful is that they have tons of advance commitments. Booking About the Day was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding!!

Sonia is an absolutely wonderful photographer. She took pictures of my daughter's and I and I couldn't believe the pictures. She captured the expressions of my daughters very well, the smiles and gestures she caught were great. To this day I still look at the pictures and am amazed and look at them in awe and keep saying to myself...that's us. That's my family.
She's great at suggesting how you sit or will place you in ways that you think there is no way that will work but they do and they are beautiful. Sonia made my girls feel so at ease and made me feel very relaxed. I highly recommend her to anyone. Sonia is and will always be a 5 star photographer in my books.

We used "About The Day Photography" (Wedding Technology, when we used them) for our wedding back in 2007. The process of using them was easy and we enjoyed every moment. They were easy to work with and flexible. They shot our engagement photos in addition to our wedding. Our pictures/video came out excellent and we will cherish them forever. Not that I plan on getting married again, but I would not hesitate to use them for my photography needs and everything in between. Thanks Stephen and Sonia!

Stephen and Sonia are an amazing team! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed having them photograph both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. They were very personable and easy to connect with. They are easy to work with and great imaginations and are willing to work with basically any ideas you have. There is no question that these two love what they do, and that they are amazing at it as well!
Everyone says that wedding photography is one of the biggest parts of a wedding, and I completely agree. I will always be completely happy with my choice to have them photograph our wedding.

Stephen & Sonia photographed our wedding in Australia (2009)! I cannot say with enough emphasis how amazing the quality of their work is! They TOTALLY captured our day! Two of the nicest people on planet earth and completely professional! The photos looked fantastic and we have recommended their services to all of our friends. Your customer service was excellent when Stephen was trying to get our business and during my wedding party. After you jumped to conclusion and thought We didn't mail out your check you became very hostile and rude. The very next day you called and apologized because the check arrived at your home. You apologized but It was too late cause the damage was done.
You were rude, obnoxious and very nasty. Well it's too bad because two of my cousins are getting married and they ask me for my wedding photographer and I told them I wouldn't recommend About The Day. When a service is great word gets around but when a service is bad word gets around even faster.
