Video Madness Films We create cinematic films, creative montages, corporate marketing media, real estate portfolios, and family biographies. Services
I am ecstatically married, have two amazing sons, two great step-daughters, one great dog and a cat with attitude. When I'm not shooting or editing I'm at the piano - creating food with love in the kitchen - or at the movies. I love what I do. Let's do it together. We apply the cinematographers eye, the musicians ear, and the writers narrative to create one of a kind films. We also enjoy humor - and love bending the rules. We understand the rules. And we play smart. We carry 2 million dollars of liability insurance.
It is a rare treat for me to film one of my past Bar or Bat Mitzvahs at their wedding. Frank qualifies. It is an equally rare treat to film the wedding of one of my own children's childhood friends. This is my 2nd time. Social couple, special family, perhaps the best. If this film, weaved through much of the father of the Bride's toast doesn't get you teary eyed you need to schedule an appointment with your cardiologist.
We bought a video package for our wedding that included a short film (7 minutes) and long film with all of the important footage (100 minutes) and we are very, very pleased with the results. Met with several other videographers but loved Bob and his approach - he explained some of the intricacies to building a video and some of the unique things that they do (particularly with the audio) that set them apart.
At Video Madness Films we can provide for all your image needs. My husband and I were married in the Presidio this September. Bob was highly recommended to us by our wedding planner, Lisa Feldman, as they had worked together previously and had a wonderful working relationship. Loving her, we already knew we were going to be in good hands with Bob. Our initial get-to-know-you call went as smoothly as we could have asked for as his kindness, warmth, professionalism, and humor came through our phone. On the wedding day, he and his amazing colleague, Wendy, were invisible as they got their shots, yet totally accessible when needed and clearly excited to share in our big day. The video itself absolutely captured our joy and the support of our family and friends, and showed exactly the serious yet fun atmosphere of the day. We have already watched our video numerous times and are so grateful to Bob for commemorating our wedding day so perfectly.

We weren't happy with the final video montage that we received. I do know that they were given limited time and photos to make it so that's why I'm giving them an OK review.

This is the last review I am writing for our wedding vendors. We used Video Madness for our videographers and photographers. We had a team of 2 photographers and 2 videographers. Bob was very responsive from the first day. He explained his services very well and to the T. I am in the events business, but I know nothing about videos and photos. I interviewed several companies and only 2 let me customize my package. Bob sold me on his experience and willing to work closely with me.

The price was right for the whole package. We anxiously waited for our photos and they turned out great. (We waited about 2 months) We gave him a list of must take photos and they did it! We love love love all our photos! Bob sent us a short video and a dvd with the full version. (About 4 months later) We love it! Thank you Bob. If we need a photographer again, we will use your company! Cheers!

This company and its owner are by far the worst I have ever seen and dealt with, like it has been said in many reviews prior to mine. When I finally got my engagement video 7 months later he had given me a partial video. He didn't realize or believe me until I finally convinced him that the video he provided me was only for half the event and the half that was least important to me.

I would be happy to share my video and pictures with anyone who wants to see it because I don't want anyone to be as hurt and embarrassed as I was. When I showed my in-laws the first copy which in his words was a pretty final draft I would have rather paid someone triple just so that I didn't have to go through that shame! There were many parts in the video that the voice and picture were not in sync, there was a long period of time where there was just a black screen with just sound in the background, not to mention he left out the first half of the night.

He promised me some type of partial refund once he found the tape for the rest of my event and finished multiple edits. He claims he fixed everything I requested, but his definition of a fix is not probably the normal definition and definitely didn't satisfy me. Overall I would never recommend for anyone to use Bob or Video Madness based on my horrific and embarrassing experience I had to go through with my family and in-laws.

I have never in my life been so disappointed in a type of service than I was with Bob and Video Madness. He was so difficult to get in touch with, he was unprofessional, and just poor customer service. Overall I can't blame anyone but myself. I wish I had read the yelp reviews first before I hired him and spent a few more dollars to avoid the disaster of a video and pictures he provided.

I honestly have procrastinated in writing this review, but every time I think about him and his company it just hurts so bad and I don't want anyone to feel that pain and go through the misery I did. Like I said I'm happy to share all my videos that Bob provided and pictures to help anyone avoid making a mistake like I did. I hope this review helps!

Let me just start out by saying how terrible Video Madness is. Im so beyond disappointed with my choice in photo/video for my wedding if I could redo it, I would. First of all getting to meet up with him was a choir in its self, to double check lighting and talk about pictures we wanted. No. No he said, Ive got it all under control. Needless to say my photos were shotty and had no fun pics.

Half of my pictures where in my hotel room. Oh and let me tell you this, he made sure he had our money in his pocket. It took him 6 months for me to get my album from him. In which that was a hassle as well. This guys really makes you feel like your putting him out, for 2500 dollars what happened to customer service. I went through all the pictures he sent me VIA email and choose about 96 pictures. Bare in mind you can only see about 15 pictures at a time, so there were duplicates in my wedding album and on top of it they were put side by side.

Instead of BOB calling and simply asking hey you have double prints would you like to pick others or is the way youd like it? So after jumping through hoops finally he said I can come to his house and pick up my album. OHHHHHHH the album that I could of had done on shutter fly for 35 bucks. So what exactly was 2500 for? I could go to shutter fly and have done that myself.

For that amount of money how about printing out my pictures and putting them in a real album. Your better off going on craigslist and getting someone who wants to up there portfolio, youd get your money worth and someone who actually cares. I with Ramon M on this company and as well with BOB. These people are a joke! Get a disposable camera and go on pintrest you'll be better off! Im still so angry It was my one day and this schmuck didn't capture it. I wish I could give him minus stars.

I hired Video Madness to provide both Photography and Videography for my wedding. They were highly recommended by my Event Coordinator and they really delivered. I chose their Cinematic Video Coverage and the Short Film that they produced was incredible. Friends and relatives were really blown away by the amazing look, feel, and quality of the film.

It was perfect. I still get emotional thinking about it. The team was terrific (we had a 3-person Video team) and really unobtrusive. thanks guys. The photography team (2 people) were equally wonderful. John was great to work with and the photos were amazing. The finished album, custom designed, was just right. I can't say enough about the quality work we received in both areas at a price that was more than fair. Thanks again to Bob and the entire Video Madness Films crew. You made our day!

I decided to use Video Madness for my wedding after careful consideration. As a wedding photographer I am really particular about the images I want. Video Madness exceeded my expectations. It wasn't just the beautiful composition, or the crystal clear sound, or very cool slider shots and steadicam movement - though I really loved the eye candy.

Nor was it just the effortless interface, the ease of dealing with Bob and his crew, or the many compliments we got about the professional demeanor, dress, and attitude of the cinematographers. The finished narrative film was beyond our hopes. My wife and I could not believe the way they weaved the audio of our vows and toasts into a cinematic masterpiece. Stunning. And compared to many we interviewed, the price was fair. If you want something special this is the company. Thanks again to Bob and the crew. You guys rock!

We hired Bob and his team to shoot our wedding in December 2011 and we honestly couldn't be happier with the outcome! We purchased both the short and the long video for our special day and the first time we watched our short film it brought both my husband and I to tears. They did a fabulous job at getting all the special moments as well as capturing the whole theme and feel of our wedding.

The longer version, well let's just say it became a favorite movie to watch in our home and my family's home. We were able to show the film to family who were not able to make it to the wedding and they all loved it and said they felt as if they were there! Not only did they do a great job at catching the special moments at our wedding but they also were very professional the day of the wedding.

They were there on time and out of everyone's way! So many of our guests never even realized they were there. Great job! When I first contacted Bob over email he was always quick to respond and sometimes seemed a bit short and not very welcoming. But once I talked to him over the phone he took really good care of me, made great suggestions, and made me feel so excited and comfortable that he would capture every moment!

Before getting the final product they sent us a draft so we could approve/add/change anything we wanted. My only reservation was how long it took to get the final product. I originally was told 4-6 weeks and once that time came and went I was told another month or so. While it would have been nice to get a more exact timing up front, the final product was well worth the wait. Should we ever need a videographer for a special event we will definitely give Bob a call. Thank you Video Madess! You guys did an awesome job!

My wife and I sadly contracted Bob to film our wedding approximately 5 years ago and are STILL upset! Although Bob's packages appeared to be the best bang for the buck, the final product and experience was HORRIFIC! He initially told us we would receive our video 2-3 months after the wedding. We didn't receive it for over a year. Despite his poor professionalism, he treated us like garbage and made it seem like we were bothering him versus catering to us, or at least apologizing for the delay. In the end, the product was sub-par and did not compare to the consultation video(s). Video Madness and Bob.suck!

Looking for a videographer for our wedding was one of the most difficult decisions that we had to make until we met with Bob with Video Madness. As some of the below reviews have stated, it is very hard to find a decent videographer and to not give an arm and a leg. Not only is he talented but had a great sense of humor and was very easy to work with.

Most of the night we forgot that he was there! We can't wait to see the results and are patiently waiting. If you haven't taken the chance to view his website, you should definitely do so. The videos speak for themselves!

Bought a video package for our wedding that included a short film (7 minutes) and long film with all of the important footage (100 minutes) and very, very please with the results. Met with several other videographers but loved Bob and his approach - he explained some of the intricacies to building a video and some of the unique things that they do (particularly with the audio) that set them apart.

We loved him and his approach and they were great to work with on the day of and listened to our requests for revisions so we could get a final product we're happy with. Judge for yourself: http://www.iplayerhd.com/player/db4f745d-282d-4703-8d24-bc5c7d00abb5 Some things I liked: 1. Creative suggestions for poses and shots, for instance when the bridesmaids are clinking glasses. 2.

You can't tell from the video, but the audio track has been cut multiple times to make it flow better. 3. Great shots of some of the small details of our wedding - especially the cake. 4. Fun moments prompted by the team - particularly the Pinkberry shot. Set especially well against the audio track. The video came out a little bit later than we had hoped for, but Bob was upfront explaining how busy the team was. Overall, we are very happy with the results and if we were to ever get married again (which we won't - it's way too much work!), we'd hire him again.

It took my husband and I some time in finding a good videographer in terms of skill and value. There are a lot of wanna-be and newbie videographers that are overcharging their services. Especially, when all they can do is make your wedding into a crappy music video. There's more to videography than pressing record on a fancy camera and using iMovieHD.

When you visit Video Madness, they take the time to show various films and styles and answer any questions you may have. We learned so much about videography from Bob! What mattered to us was the videographer's skills, equipment, and years of experience. And as Santa Clara residents, we liked the fact we were supporting a local business. I got married this past June and we had Video Madness film our special day.

We purchased the short film package and got earlier than what was written on the contract. Just in time to bring it with us to our East Coast wedding reception. We were so pleased that I asked Bob to proceed with a long form video. We- my husband, friends, and family are VERY pleased with the short film Bob and his team made for us. Our family and friends on the East Coast that couldn't make it out to our wedding was thrilled to watch the short film and for our family and friends that did attend our wedding, enjoyed nice recap of our happy day.

Come the day of our wedding, Wendy arrived first and was warm and cheerful to begin her day with us. She filmed me and my bridesmaids as we got ready and was so fluid we forgot she was there. At the church, Bob and Wendy somehow made Our Lady of Peace look GORGEOUS. For those that have been there or go there, you know how dark and old it is.; The video of OLOP looks better than it looks in person! How's that for skill?

During the reception, Wendy and Chris were fantastic. The short film showed their skills because they captured everything and in the end, they captured the story of our relationship and our wedding.

I want to first start of by stating that I normally do NOT complain about companies, however, this company has caused me to be emotionally and mentally upset about my wedding photos and video. The only and biggest mistake my husband and I made when planning for our wedding day, was trusting this company to provide all photos and video for our wedding.

It has been over 4 years and I am still unhappy and embarassed to show our photos to family and friends. We spent ALOT of money on a fantastic wedding in San Francisco. We loved all the vendors we worked with as well as our Venue coordinator. We are actually in the process of finding another company to fix the photos and video provided by Video Madness.

Some examples why you should NOT trust this company are: They promoised that they will place a microphone on my husband that would caputre all voices coming from both of us during the ceremony and will drown out all sounds in the background. This is INCORRECT. There are crying sounds in the background and coughing throughout the video, as well as fabric noise from when my husband would move throughout the ceremony.

When we asked them to fix this, they said that they said they would be able to drown out wind sound only and could not do anything about the other sounds. When my entourage was walking down the aisle, the camera would move quickly from one person to the next person going down the aisle (no fading), as if an ammature was taking the video. When I asked if this could be fixed so that the scences would fade from one person to the next, rather than see the video camera move quickly from one person to another, Bob at Videomadness said there would be an extra charge.

The music chosen for the video was not played nor was the music at the wedding ceremony as we had talked about. Out of all the few pictures that were taken, there were only 2 photos of me, the bride, to choose from and only 4-5 picutres of the bride and groom during the ceremony. We were only given about 500 photos to choose from but not good quality.

When compared with other photographers, 500 is a small number. Typically photographers provide over 1000 pictures. The groom's family, was not in the original photo selection and I had to request for this. The ring bearer was not included in our album with the coin bearer and flower girl. This is just a snap shot of the beginning of our nightmare!

Please think twice before choosing this company, because I would hate for you to endure this headache that my husband and I did. I hope that we will soon find someone to finally fix our video and photos so that we can finally share it with family and friends.

Bob / Videomaddness was the videographer for our wedding back several years ago. He arrived early at the church and stayed the entire day, which was close to 10 hours! He placed a wireless mic on me so he could capture everything. He was friendly and professional. We did have to wait 4-6 weeks for our video but that was fine.he did an excellent job and captured a lot of great moments!

We used Bob @ Video Madness for our son's Bar Mitzvah which involved two locations of filming. Bob worked with us to create a custom package which met our needs. He was professional and easy to contact. Always returned phone calls and e-mails promptly. Bob uses the latest and greatest in technology and was always prompt for meetings the locations.

He created a video which really captured the momets of this special occasion. My 8 year old asks to watch the video again and again and again. The moments and family/friends that were captured in this video certainly met and exceeded our expectations. During the editing process, Bob made any and all changes that were requested. I would highly recommend! Alene, Los Altos,

We first found out about Video Madness from a wedding faire we attended. We had gathered demo videos from at least five video vendors. Video Madness was the last one we watched, and it's a good thing. Their demo was FAR superior to any of the others (read that: there were NO cheesy versions of "Always & Forever" playing throughout the demo, and they listed out the different aspects of videography NOT like they were talking to dummies.) When we got the quote initially (after meeting at their office), we hesitated a bit because, well, frankly, they are expensive. (That's the one star ding, only because of the pricing.) After talking with my dad about the things that would be still around after the wedding, we decided that video/photography would be the one place we splurged. Bob was open and honest about pricing and quality (they do use High Def cameras), and we ended up signing with VM, and we would also (as part of our deal) get a photog from Picture 2000 to get the posed still shots. Bob himself was at our event, and had Brandon from Picture 2000 with him.

They both were totally professional, fairly unobtrusive, and had a great sense of humor. VM did take a little longer than estimated to get us our video (demo version), but after seeing the video, it didn't matter. We are thrilled at how professionally edited our video looks, and they caught EVERY piece of the day that mattered on video. They also did some nice techniques with the photos in the layout of our album.

We even got a Blu-Ray version for later when we'll have a Blu-Ray player! We are very pleased with our choice of videographers, and would recommend Video Madness to anyone who wants a beautifully done video of their special day.

I got a packaged deal for my wedding videography and photography from a bridal show I attended. They also have a really good demo (in comparison to all the other ones I've collected from the show.) My wedding was in July 2007. I was given an estimate for my video to be completed by late October. November came around and no one called me to see what type of video I wanted- no one called me to inform me it would be delayed, etc. after I gave them a call- i was informed I had to work with Picture 2000 (since they were the ones I signed the contract with).

I received my video right before the holidays. When I picked it up- my husband's name was spelled incorrectly. here's what I don't understand the cover was incorrect and in the video it was spelled two ways. shouldn't that raise a flag- when you see the name spelled twice. They missed a couple of tables we asked them to go to during the reception to get the "message for the bride and groom." it's February and I still haven't heard back from them.apparently it takes months to fix small error. I hope they are redoing my video during this period because I wasn't all that happy with it.
